The Third Annual Cinema City International Film Fest - Where Film History is Made

On September 10-12, 2009, film history was once more made as the Cinema City International Film Festival celebrated its third annual award film festival and award ceremony. Film viewing was free to the pubic but the awards dinner was $250/ticket. Produced by Suzanne DeLaurentiis of Suzanne DeLaurentiis Productions and Juliette Harris of It Girl Public Relations, the seminar was held at the Hyatt Regency at Century City. Public relations for the event was done by Deborah Hayter.
Winners of the 2009 festival included Audience choices of Knucks, Sam’s Rain, Deceit, Magnum Farce, The Klara Wizel Story, Astoria Queens, Anytown USA, The Family Circus Story, Whacked, Enigma and True Men. Best student films included Sebastian’s Voodoo, Nero Bloom Private Eye. Best foreign film was Bathtub to Happiness and best foreign screenplay was Tokyo Dreamers. Multi cultural award for excellence in screenwriting went to Freddy Robinson and the CCIFF women in film award went to Katie Dillon. Best feature gold award went to Like Dandelion Dust, the silver was Charlie Valentine and the bronze was Ice Grill, USA. The best theme award Who Will Stand, best short was Rain, Rain, best short feature was The Predator’s Return, best sci fi short was Soul Fire Rising, best sci fi feature was Mansfield Path, best reality pilot was Auto Archaeology, best TV pilot was Green Room, best animation was Prayers for Peace and finally the best screenplay was Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.

Networking abounded and many people were able to make deals on their films.
